*We are temporarily holding up a slew of newsletters which were generated in March concerning Asian carp.  They show that KY Fish & Wildlife is just beginning to talk about and slowly move on this problem.  It can, and may, ruin fishing as we know it in our lakes.  The e-mails show TN Fish & Wildlife even further behind, and TVA only slightly aware of the problem.
*Approximately 130 attended our banquet in February.  I was invited to attend Todd County’s banquet in mid-March at the high school.  492 were in attendance.  That shows the lack of support by Christian-Trigg County sportsmen.

*Kenny McGar (17 years old) won an FLW Bass Tournament on the Lake of the Ozark recently as a co-angler.  He won a rigged Ranger Bass Boat.  He’ll have a hard time topping that!  If you notice, the McGars often show up as top finishers in the league’s tournaments.

*In an effort by the league’s leadership at the state level to draw interest to the KY and Barkley Lake predator problems (cormorants and Asian carp), I attended a breakfast paid for by the league on Friday, March 18th.  For two hours we handed out literature and greeted the legislators as they came through the breakfast line.  This comment is just so you’ll know.  Fish & Wildlife people were there, also.  We hope you will continue to support our efforts by your membership renewals.  This is one small way of showing you care.  We invite your input to help make a difference.

*We would like to congratulate the fishing team of Tomi Estes and James Naylor.  For two years they have finished on top of our league tournaments as “Angler of the Year”.  It is very difficult to do it even once.  Please notice the names and weights in the newsletters.
